The first time I visited family in Wyoming it was October and the leaves were turning colors and falling. Magical is a great word to describe it. I wanted to move there. I wanted to live in a constant state of Autumn in the mountains. My brother and his family flew in from Wyoming last night into Texas. He was talking about how much he missed Texas and that he needed land here. Sometimes you forget how beautiful it is where you are. Thankfully, the rolling hills and farm land I drive past everyday coming into work remind me how lucky I am to live where I do. I'd wear this coat in Wyoming or Texas.

I have an obsession with blankets. Beautiful, hand stitched, repurposed textiles speak to me. There's something special in wearing fabric that was intentionally made to protect and comfort someone.
The shape isn't tailored. It's not supposed to be. You're wearing a blanket. It's that good. And yes, there are pockets.
Your coat was made from a vintage kantha quilt. Saris or fabric remnants layered and bound with a running stitch.
