Popped collars and starched white shirts - that's what this coat reminds me of. Eventually, it will soften and drape. Right now, it's structured, which isn't a bad thing, but it is a definite look. A few nights as a porch coat and you'll start wearing it inside after dinner curled up on the sofa.
Light to Mid Weight with blue stitch work. It will soften, but something about the construction of the kantha - it will always have some shape to it.
