When she was little her parents persuaded her to eat vegetables by making her plate "pretty" with garnishes. She collected paper drink umbrellas from restaurants and would put them in her own glass of water at home. Thoughtful presentation did not escape her. Now grown up she's still drawn to details. She chose this blanket coat for that very reason. It's a coat that she loved from a distance without knowing why at first glance But, up close the detailed embroidery explain it all. Oh, she still keeps paper umbrellas in her kitchen.
C216 the embroidery isn't too obvious at first on this light weight kantha coat. The original maker chose threads that complimented the burgundy red of the coat instead of standing out. Where you do see a contrast is with the reverse fabric - a fantastic mix of green and tan.
Our slim is the same length as our original. It's just three inches less fabric on either side. That doesn't matter to everyone. Keep that in mind. Choose the kantha that you love. Choose your one.
Dry Cleaning or Spot Cleaning is recommended.
If you choose to launder your blanket coat, we suggest hand washing or washing on a delicate cycle.
Do NOT machine dry.
