A heavier sturdy Lahori quilt.  

Dry Cleaning or Spot Cleaning is recommended.  If you choose to launder your quilt, we suggest a chemical-free detergent on a delicate cycle.  Air dry your kantha - tumbling without heat after completely drying if it needs to be softened. 

Kantha quilts are what started our love affair with hand-crafted textiles.  The blankets we source are vintage made from fabrics intentionally repurposed to be functional at home.

Fabric remnants, old saris, or dhotis are stacked in layers and then bound together with a running stitch (kantha stitch) and sometimes with additional embroidery or embellishment.

Every piece is one of a kind with a storied past only partially revealed by the fabrics chosen and the handwork of the original maker.

Your kantha is a vintage piece it should be cared for as such, but also used and loved.

You may notice marks or worn areas on your kantha. This makes your quilt even more special - they show personality, not imperfection.
