Wearing her coat inside out with the yellow and black showing.  Layered over ripped jeans and with scuffed up tennis shoes.  High school classes were over for the day and she was grabbing a coffee with friends.  Someone commented that they loved her jacket and how it reminded them of the yellow checkered taxis in New York.  She looked confused for a second because she was more familiar with Uber and Lyft.  "Oh yeah, it kinda does" she said when she remembered seeing taxis like that on one of her Netflix shows. 

C521, I'll forever buy kanthas with a checkered pattern like this.  I think they are the most fun to style.  This coat is our lightest weight.  What I call a tissue weight. 

Our mini is a size up from our crop.  On most adults you can expect it to fall to the waist.

Dry Cleaning or Spot Cleaning is recommended. 

If you choose to launder your blanket coat, we suggest hand washing or washing on a delicate cycle. 

Do NOT machine dry.

Every coat is one of a kind.  Made from a vintage kantha quilt - layers of fabric remnants or saris bound together with a running stitch sewn by industrious women in either Bangladesh or India.  Your piece may have markings or worn areas that we find make our coats even more storied and unique.
