Heavy and rugged this is the coat I'd reach for when taking our dog out for a walk when in Wyoming for the winter. This last trip we also snuck our hamster into my parent's house, but that's a different story. And no, he did not get to go on walks in the snow. It's the perfect coat to keep in the 4wheel drive trekker for winter rides with a thermos of hot cocoa. Yes, it's June and the idea of something like this in your closet now ... no way. But winter does tend to show up every year, without fail. Come late October or November you'll have no regrets, I'm certain of that. I also think the indigo blue in the photo is actually more on the purple side.
Again, this is a heavy coat. It's one of our first runs with fixed pockets. It was not made to be reversible, and it does not have holes for belting.
I have an obsession with blankets. Beautiful, hand stitched, repurposed textiles speak to me. There's something special in wearing fabric that was intentionally made to protect and comfort someone.
The shape isn't tailored. It's not supposed to be. You're wearing a blanket. It's that good. And yes, there are pockets.
Every coat is one of a kind. Made from vintage fabrics stitched by hand, your piece may have markings or worn areas that we find make our coats even more desirable.
Dry Cleaning or Spot Cleaning is recommended.
If you choose to launder your blanket coat, we suggest hand washing or washing on a delicate cycle.
