PRODUCT CARE

Our pieces are made from textiles with a story—many vintage, hand-crafted, or thoughtfully repurposed.

A little extra care helps preserve the character, craftsmanship, and beauty that make each SAPANA piece one of a kind, so it can be loved and worn for years to come.

blanket coat collection

Spot cleaning and dry cleaning are recommended.  Should you choose to launder, we suggest a cold water hand wash.  DO NOT put your coat in the dryer.  Air drying is a must.  Lay flat to completely dry.  Once your coat is dry you may tumble without heat for softness.

Remember your coat lived a life before you as a kantha quilt.  We choose to make our coats from only vintage textiles.  Patches, marks, and worn areas make your piece one of a kind.  I don’t see these as imperfections but more so a part of the story behind your coat.

tara collection

Dry cleaning or spot cleaning is essential.

Your coat is made from vintage textiles and the sequins are all hand placed with great care and intention.

rani collection

Dry cleaning or spot cleaning is essential.

dhurrie collection

We recommend spot cleaning our dhurrie items. Use a soft brush to gently scrub stains, then blot with a damp cloth and a drop of dish soap.

If you have a light colored bag, we also recommend treating with an eco-friendly waterproof spray safe for clothing.

sari collection

Our fabrics are truly vintage. Spot cleaning or hand washing in cold water is preferred.

Machine drying is not recommended.

brass items

Keep brass jewelry dry: Remove it before swimming or showering to prevent tarnishing. Store it in a dry, airtight container and avoid lotions or harsh chemicals to maintain its shine.
