We found the fabric. We loved it. We made as many as we could. Because the lurex is deadstock, when it’s gone, it’s gone.
Named for a bird with a habit of collecting interesting things. Which, actually, feels very familiar.
The Magpie Shirt brings together deadstock lurex with just a touch of shimmer and fabric-covered buttons made from repurposed saris. Bits and pieces from different places, collected and made into something entirely new.
The fit is oversized, relaxed and intentionally easy. A little fancy because it shimmers. Not so fancy that you have to think too hard about wearing it.

Want a neater fit? Size down. But if you love that draped, oversized feel, go with your regular sizing.

Made from deadstock lurex with a subtle metallic shimmer. Finished with fabric-covered buttons created from repurposed sari textiles, making each one slightly different.

Care
Care
A little extra care keeps the shimmer shimmering. Hand wash cold, gently. Hang or lay flat to dry. No bleach, no dryer, and keep high heat away from the metallic threads.

We want you to love your Sapana piece. If you aren’t happy let us know. We can process a return or exchange on new and unworn pieces within 10 days of purchase (or delivery if your item was shipped).
