    The Tara Mini Jacket has the fit of the Mini style, a drop shoulder and soft bell sleeves. This style is a size up from our Crop Jacket.

    Designed to hit at or just above the waist (depending on height and body type). 

    Material

    Every coat is one of a kind, made from a vintage kantha quilt. Layers of fabric bound by a hand sewn running stitch - your piece may have markings or worn areas that we find make our coats even more storied and unique.

    The sequins have been hand applied to your Kantha before it became your coat. Not reversable.

    We want you to love your Sapana piece.  If you aren’t happy let us know.  We can process a return or exchange on new and unworn pieces within 10 days of purchase (or delivery if your item was shipped).

    The Tara Mini Jacket is where the ease of a kantha blanket meets a flash of something unexpected. With a fit of the Mini Blanket Coat, and drop shoulder, and soft bell sleeve, this silhouette adds quiet drama without losing its relaxed, wearable feel.

    Each one is crafted from vintage kantha quilts and finished with hand-applied sequins in a broken rhythm that echoes traditional kantha stitching. This jacket isn’t reversible, which means we get to use textiles that might’ve been passed over—pieces with deeper texture, rich color, or a little more edge. It’s still a blanket coat, but it’s dressed up for whatever your story calls for.

    Blanket Coat Weight

    Whitney — 5'9", US size 8

    • Tissue Weight

      These are the lightest of our coats.  They feel barely there and have minimal structure.

    • Light Weight

      These coats tend to have more drape and a relaxed fit more than a tailored shape.

    • Mid Weight

      More structured than our lightweight coats.  They still drape beautifully but you'll find it holds it's shape especially in the collar.  They will soften with wear.

    • Heavy Weight

      These can be "structured" or "broken in".  If it's structured and heavy weight you will notice more of an "A Line" shape.  You will feel a comforting weight on your shoulders.
