Every apron is one of a kind, made from a vintage kantha quilt. Layers of fabric bound by a hand sewn running stitch - your piece may have markings or worn areas that we find make our apron even more storied and unique.

Material

Fabric remnants, old saris, or dhotis are stacked in layers and then bound together with a running stitch (kantha stitch).

Care

Dry cleaning or spot cleaning is recommended. If you choose to launder your apron, we suggest a chemical-free detergent on a delicate cycle and air dry. If it needs to be softened, tumble without heat after completely dried.

We want you to love your Sapana piece.  If you aren’t happy let us know.  We can process a return or exchange on new and unworn pieces within 10 days of purchase (or delivery if your item was shipped).

STORY BEHIND THE APRON

Kantha quilts are what started our love affair with hand-crafted textiles.  The blankets we source are vintage and made from fabrics intentionally repurposed to be functional at home.

Now, we're giving these textiles a new life. Crafted from vintage kantha quilts, our aprons are made for the cooks, the bakers, and the “I just like looking cute in the kitchen” people.
