About the reworked collection

The Reworked Collection celebrates creativity through reuse. Handmade in India by a new artisan partner passionate about sustainable design, these bags are woven from repurposed vintage silk and silk-blend saris—transforming forgotten textile scraps into richly textured, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Each bag carries the beauty of imperfection, craftsmanship, and thoughtful reinvention.

  • We believe in preserving traditional handicraft techniques.

  • We believe that employment opportunities in rural areas make a significant impact.

  • We believe that we can connect through learning about other histories and cultures.

Crafted by hand. Rooted in story.

Every Sapana piece is a labor of love, handmade by artisans who carry generations of tradition in their hands. These pieces aren’t made in factories—they're created slowly and intentionally in rural communities, where each stitch creates opportunity and preserves culture. Sapana exists to honor these stories, to bridge worlds through craft, and to remind us that what we wear can hold meaning far beyond the material.
