We looked at what we had ... leftover yarn, damaged pieces, kantha, vintage silk or silk blend sarees - and we figured out how to make something new from it all.

The Zendek is reversible - textile on one side, woven leftover yarn on the other.  No two are alike and nothing had to start from scratch.

She's sturdy, but she's not indestrucible.  The Zendek is made from repurposed textiles and yarn.  Please be mindful of jewelry, sharp edges, and things that might snag her fun surface patterns.

See our size + shape guide for fit details.

THE ZENDEK COLLECTION

Inspired by the traditional Moroccan zindhek rug—an everyday textile woven from recycled materials by Berber women—the Zendek Collection is a study in resourcefulness, texture, and reinvention.

Created using materials left from previous Sapana projects and rescued production scraps. One side features vintage kantha or repurposed silk sari textiles, while the reverse is woven from leftover yarns, giving discarded materials new life in a completely one-of-a-kind silhouette.

Designed to sit comfortably over knits, shirts, or dresses, it brings warmth and texture without the length.

  • We believe in preserving traditional handicraft techniques.

  • We believe that employment opportunities in rural areas make a significant impact.

  • We believe that we can connect through learning about other histories and cultures.

Crafted by hand. Rooted in story.

Every Sapana piece is a labor of love, handmade by artisans who carry generations of tradition in their hands. These pieces aren’t made in factories—they're created slowly and intentionally in rural communities, where each stitch creates opportunity and preserves culture. Sapana exists to honor these stories, to bridge worlds through craft, and to remind us that what we wear can hold meaning far beyond the material.
